Beech Expeditor on display at the RCMP Training Academy. These aircraft were used in the 1940's to travel to remote areas of northern Canada.

That's a great looking little plane. Looks sleek & rugged at the same time. Your post reminded me to look up the 2 guys that went up to the North Pole (& around Canada back to Seattle) this summer in float planes...the route looked so romantic http://www.greatarcticairadventure.com/index.html
