The Cornwall Centre shopping mall in downtown Regina is built around the facade of the former Canadian Bank of Commerce building.

There is something you don't see everyday. I'd love to see that in person. Nice pic

This is fascinating! How wonderful that they preserved the facade of this important old building, so we can still enjoy its architecture! It's a shame the mall replaced it, but wonderful that they were willing to preserve at least this part!

Its interesting they left it in! A good preserve for the public to see and remember.

It's nice to see at least a part of the building occupying the space before the mall being preserved.

What a great idea. Love that they didn't tear it down.

Am enjoying your blog -- can't wait for the snow pics. :)

It's great that the rest of the world gets to put up Christmas decor so early. Us Americans have to wait until the end of November (post Thanksgiving). I love that holiday, too, but it makes the Christmas season awfully short!

I also forgot to comment that I love this idea - what character this lends the mall!
