For the first time the other day I noticed this little tiny church on the corner of 11th Ave and Winnipeg St. Looks like something out of a kids story

What a unique church! It does look like something out of a fairy tale. The little while picket fence is the perfect touch.

A beautiful little church! I love the colors...most that I see in this style are white.

Neat! In fact, that whole corner is cool - not just the church with the red trim and white fence, but the green light pole and the yellow traffic light poles...and like Leggo Town - charming!

It's a lovely little building! Did you investigate further? Or, will you?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Pat I did a little research and the church is Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church. Stanger however is that wikepedia says it was demolished long ago. hmm I am going to have to look into this as it has me very curious

This is a beautiful little church with its red roof and steeple. It does look small and old. Lovely

Hi - This is the Holy Trinity Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church - the first Serbian Church built in Canada! My Grandfather helped to build this church....it is very small but beautiful.

Hi - this was the first Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church built in Canada and of course remains the oldest Serbian Church in the country. My Grandfather helped build the original church and I believe a very close friend of his donated the land on which the church was built. The outside of the church was refurbished a few years ago but the interior remains in pristine, quaint, old world, tradition. It is beautiful.
