This takes the term 'going for a cold one' to a whole new level. The Ice Bar at 'La Bodega' restaurant on Albert Street in downtown Regina.

Guy, Thanks for stopping by my site. I see you're a fellow Canadian -- I'm next door in Alberta.

That's a totally awesome photo of the Ice Bar! This would probably be a perfect place to quip, "Bottoms up!"

Really enjoyed some of your other shots. Amazing stuff. I've been to Regina, but never quite caught the beauty of the place as you have with your camera.

Happy Friday!

That is awesome, first time I've ever seen anything like it. You could just leave your beer on the bar and it would stay cold, brilliant idea. LOL

What a beautiful place! I wonder how long does it last? In Sweden there's a ice hotel. Everything is made of ice, even the beds. Every year it melts down and has to be rebuilt. It's fabulous. Have a great SWF

Yep, going to a new level. All kinds of art out there. Think of this on the ice fishing lakes. Hah!

Do they have to remake the bar every winter? Or do they preserve it through summer?

I can't imagine being served on an ice bar. Neat photo.

I really like the "crystal" balls with things in them, I assume they are made of ice too.

A couple of years ago we had an orchestra playing on ice instruments, I couldn't go to see them but those who did says it was very special.

How cool is that? (no pun intented)

Looks like a fun experience, I'm in shock that there is such a thing as an ice bar. Great stuff.

I love the carved ice photo. I have a granite table and when I sit at it when the weather is cold, I sometimes feel like it is ice too, it gets cold. I favored your blog too. Thanks for adding me.

Ah! they cheated! Shouldn't the bar stools be made of ice, too? Oh, wait. Warm bum - ice - okay, maybe not. :-)

This looks really neat, but I'm glad the stools are not of ice.

What a fun place to have a cold one. I wonder if the bartender wears polar fleece when he's working! Love your SWF shot, too. Thanks for visiting mine. Stay warm!

Very impressive! I wonder how long it takes to sculpt a bar out of ice?

PS: Thanks for your comments on my blog. I look forward to seeing you more often!

What a lovely place to stop for refreshments and a great shot. Here in Finland (up north) they build a small ice hotel every year. People really stay overnight there and sleep on raindeer skins. Popular with newly weds.
