Colorful and unique skies over the McKenzie Art Gallery is south Regina. This gallery is a must visit for all Regina tourists. (Skywatch Friday)

And here is a bonus 'Skywatch Friday' shot of Wascana Lake during a calm October evening. I can't stress enough how amazing it is to walk around the lake during a Regina sunset, grab some hot coffee and bring the one you love.

Be sure to check out other 'Skywatch Friday' shots from all over the world at:

Guy, You've made the Regina sky your gallery -- and we get in for free!

Nice pictures Guy. I bet its a beautiful area during the summer months. Looks cold there though. Haven't a picture to post this week yet. Guess I could go take a picture of our clear blue sky. =) Hope you have a great week.

Nature still is the best art gallery...

Oh my goodness! Beautiful, beautiful, Guy! I think I could learn to tolerate the cold just to see sights like that in the first photo! And, how sweet to bring your loved one a cup of coffee. :)

I always look forward to your Wascansa Lake photos; what a very special place that is, in every season.

Thanks for your visit to my Sky Watch post and for your very kind and encouraging comment.

Your photos are gorgeous and the snow is something I envy. We haven't had snow this winter. Only one day and for the rest rain and drizzle. I shall be glad when this long winter is over. The sky watch photos you saw, were of Australia where my youngest daughter lives and there they still have summer and hopefully good weather.

Beautiful light in both. Your description makes me want to walk around your lake at sunset.

Nice work using the gallery to filter out the flare of the sunset. It allows the camera to capture the more subtle qualities of the clouds. In the second, the duck (goose?) in the mid field is a perfect touch!

Sylvia K said...

The top one is totally awesome! Love the fan effect of the clouds. And love the ducks in the water! All fabulous shots!! Thanks, Guy, for sharing and have a Happy SWF!

Wow! Those looks like delicate watercolors. You're lucky to have such a great spot so close by to go to to watch the sky change. And how it changes! I love going for walks in cold weather, but around here it doesn't get too cold! Happy SWF.

I'm not sure which of the images I like best. Both are wonderful in their own rights. The sky in the first one is so interesting but the second one has such a tranquil mood about it. I love watery photos in general and the lone bird makes it special.
