Its that time of the week again, so here are five photos of skies that Regina citizens have enjoyed in the last little while. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo was taken last month along the north shore of Wascana Lake near the docks to Willow Island. Notice the 'Danger, Thin Ice' sign in the foreground. Unfortunately my photo does not do this incredible sky justice as it was one of the most unique I've ever seen.
The second photo is from late last year. Its of a late evening sunset above a pedestrian pathway that winds around the far west side of Wascana Lake beside the Albert Street Bridge. Definately one of the most picturesque and one of my favourite areas of Wascana Park.

This photo was taken a couple weeks ago in -45C degree weater. Yup it was the coldest winter in 30 years here in Regina and thankfully we've made it through it.

The fifth and final photo was taken late last year from the Pine Island Overlook in Wascana Park. This location is definately one of my favourites in the city to capture my Skywatch photos!

Thanks you so much for visiting my site, be sure to check out other 'Skywatch Friday' photos from all over the world at: http://skyley.blogspot.com/

I love the gorgeous reflections in the third photo.

Very nice sunset photos. My favorite is the one in the middle. It fascinates me how the sky colors are more intense in the water than in the sky.

Wonderful winter skys. Next week you will have spring skys as the sun marches toward you. Happy spring!

Mojo said...

The first time through I got the caption for the 4th photo connected to the 3rd photo and couldn't figure out how that water wasn't frozen a foot thick. I keep trying to do the conversion to Farenheit and keep getting different answers. The two online converters I tried both said -49, but when I do the conversion manually (5/9)*(-45-32) I keep coming up with -42.78.

Either way that's bleeping cold!

Mariz said...

Gorgeous photos! Loved that sky's reflection on the water, nice!

They are all beautiful skies but the -45 degree picture was amazing. I really liked that one immensly. I've never experienced anything over -32 a few years back and that was like having ones nose pulled by force off the head. All the rest was covered under several layers of clothing (apart from the eyes). Whatever can -45 feel like? BRRR
