Well it's that time of week again, today I have three different photos of skies that Regina residents have enjoyed recently. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo today is from last fall of a Regina sunset taken from atop the Wascana Hill. This hill provides an amazing vantage point in all directions of our great city. Here silhouettes can be seen of the dome of the Legislative Building as well as the 2,300 seat Conexus Arts Centre.

Here is a photo taken last fall from the south shore of Wascana Lake of a beautiful cloudy sky above the park. Like I've mentioned many times already, there is nothing like taking a walk around the lake, something that all Regina visitors must put on their to do list.

This shot of from a few weeks ago of the pedestrian bridge leading towards Pine Island in Wascana Park during a winter sunset. You can see the water beneath the bridge is melting, and in my opinion, the warm weather can't come soon enough.

Fantastic reflections in the first photo, and lovely color reflected on the snow in the last.

These are all wonderful shots. I think the first is my favorite but all are great.

Fantastic! The last one is my favorite with the unusual color in the sky and the beginning of melting. Warmer weather can't come soon enough for me, either!

Bradley Myers said...

Great photos from different times of the year, but you have to love the warmth of spring compared to the cold and snow in your one shot.

No, you don't have to have blazing colors to make a dramatic sky shot.

But it never hurts! Love these!

Nice photos!
Ok ..sometimes i see things in photos..so your last photo with the melting ice.. I see the water as a mouth..the trees in the bank as eyes and the bridge is the surround of the face...
I know..strange..but that is me..LOL

Catherine said...

Wow! The first one looks like a fireworks when they launch rockets.
Fabulous.
On the second, I'm with you, a place to take a walk.
The third one, certainly an other place to take a walk, but I'll come back in summer, I think. I was almost about to write that there was no need of the bridge at the time you took the picture. In fact, reading your text, I understand that it's better using it.
Wonderful sceneries and skies.
Bonsoir to the other Catherine and to you from France.
