Well its that time of the week again, here are a couple of incredible skies that Regina residents have enjoyed the past week. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo is from earlier this week of one of the most unique skies I've seen in quite some time. This was taken about a half hour before a huge thunderstorm hit the city. The different colors above the lake were incredible and unfortunately I don't think this pic did that sky justice.

The next photo is from the same evening. It was taken from the bottom of Pine Island looking up at the Wascana Lake overlook. I've always loved thunderstorms but even I have to admit this sky made me a little nervous.

Both photos are fantastic. If they didn't do justice to the scene, it must have been a truly memorable scene!

Wow, a really amazing sky. That top one kind of reminds me of that Edward Munch painting, The Scream -except of course it's not gruesome!

Wow - a lot is going on in this sky! We have clouds every afternoon now - but never seen anything like it! So colorful!

Holy cow--that first one's amazing. Ok, so's the second! We don't get many storms at all, but when we see one gathering I'm always torn between the beauty of it and worrying about the damage it might do.

You always have such beautiful skies in Regina. Love the top one, with the dome in the distance and the rail by the lake leading one's eye into the photo.
