Well its that time of the week again. Here are a couple of photos of some skies that we have enjoyed this first week of autumn. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo is of a colorful sunrise over Pasqua Lake. This lake is one of 4 beautiful lakes that are located about a half hour drive northeast of the city in the Qu'appelle Valley. These fantastic lakes provide some of the most incredible scenery anyone could ever hope for.

The second image is a late evening photo of a dragon boat on Wascana Lake. Every summer there is a dragon boat competition/festival in the city and throughout the warmer seasons you can usually find some teams practicing on the lake. I will never tire of peaceful scenes like this one.

Like both photos, but the first is outstanding.

I'm not familiar with the term "dragon boat", but there's no special expertise required to recognize an eye-popping sunset.

wow. Just ... wow.

I shouldn't look at your amazing pics 'cause they make me want to fly over to Canada (and in the process lokk up my uncle in Quebec) whilst all I can afford is a trip from Amsterdam to London. Sometimes life isn't fair...Have a great weekend!

These are beautiful photos. I can imagine myself sitting at the banks of the lake to watch the sunset or the glorious unfolding of the sky from twilight to dark.

Have a nice weekend, Guy D!

Both lakes look nice.

Do you have a program called Singh-Ray Filters that you use to get that shiny effect? I read about it on a photography website & was just wondering, but no matter, your photos are always so beautiful.

Both are lovely, but I'm really impressed by the gold color in the first one.
