Well its that time of the week again, here are a couple photos of some beautiful skies enjoyed by Regina residents recently. (Skywatch Friday)

The first pic is one of my favourite settings in all of Wascana Park. This pic was taken a couple evenings ago during the last few minutes of sunlight. Notice the lake is starting to ice over, even despite the warmer the normal temperatures we've been having recently.
The second photo is taken in Les Sherman Park which is located very near our home in Cathedral Village. This huge park offers many great scenic paths for us to walk our dogs.

Both photos are great and perfect, but I prefer the first one due to the composure of the setting.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Gorgeous captures as always, Guy! The first one looks sooooo cold with the ice. The second one looks like a really pleasant day, beautiful skies -- even if it was cold, which I'm sure it was!

Enjoy your weekend!

Lovely! Two images expressing two different moods. Love the colors and reflections in the first photograph.

Beautiful skies in Regina. The first one looks pretty chilly though, but then it is getting close to winter.

We're seeing some ice on the lakes, too. Nice sunset, and beautiful walking path.

Lovely shots. Noticed that you have cooled down a bit. 43 degrees here yesterday.

As much as I love the first, and I do, the second has such a simple charm. I would love to be walking on that path, under a blanket of dainty cumulus.

I like the first best. I like the light and its colors against the black, the contrast. Nice.
Have a nice weekend

The lake icing over. Brr.. I guess it is that time of year. Takes a lovely pic though. The second one is great. I like the angle of the shot, giving lots of length.

Lucky dogs! Our "park" is about the size of a quarter football-field...Love those clouds and the icing over. Do you ice-skate? Enjoyed Shani Davis again this past weekend.

Those are beautiful scenes. The colors of the 1st one are so dramatic! I love the dark and golden tones! Beautiful!

Amazing colors! I love how the brighter area in the sky forms a sort of 'aura' around the tree. Masterpiece!

I can't believe the lake is starting to ice over already, I thought it was still warm with you guys?

We are still experiencing warm remps downs here.

They are both wonderful photos, I love the color in the sunset. But I also love the blue sky and clouds.

Great sunset views. I love the white fluffy clouds on the second pic.

Nice shots - I like the sunset colours and the forming ice - yikes reminds me of winter to come. And, the clouds in the second shot are very nice - path is a good composition tool to get your eye to the clouds. I have not been to Regina (yet) but will see it through your eyes. Thanks for visiting my experimental photo site, which is a mixed bag of stuff from archives and around Toronto. I will be back to see your future work.
