Its official, Wascana Lake is frozen. Here is a photo of the shoreline in an area that's usually packed with people, but not when its this cold.

Oh my goodness, a place where it's very cold! It was 63 degrees F. here in NYC yesterday! :)

I don't really like snow and cold but the snow sure can be beautiful

That photo seems like the essence of winter to me. The crispness of the composition matches the crispness of the snow.

This is really pretty and peaceful. Too bad we've just got the cold down here--but not the promised snow.

Have a good weekend--preferably in front of a warm fire!

No, I don't think I would want to be sitting on that bench. Brrrrr! Another beautiful view of your lake though.

It's beautiful, but it makes me cold just looking at the picture!

Hi Guy

Wow that was fast, already a frozen lake, eh? Well no snow in Ontario here yet...

I can't imagine how cold that must be - so cold it would keep people off that inviting scenic vista.

You've had some cold weather, Guy! I love your shots. How do you feel about the winter?! I love change...and the skies give all sorts of opportunities for such...

We have been hovering around zero. The last two days have brought snow enough to cover the ground.
Today we're having snow squalls. Thank you for visiting My Muskoka !

Excellent photo. The absence of people and the blue cold speak volumes. And to think I was out riding my bicycle today. We're having crazy weather here in NJ. Cold one day, warm the next, but no snow -- yet.
