Here is another wintery shot of Wascana Park. This one I took earlier this month just before darkness. I love this time of the day.

(FYI- I am currently on vacation so I won't be able to update my blog as often as I usually do, but I will try my best to update as often as I can. Hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday season.)

Well its that time of year, my wife and I would like to wish everyone and their families a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. (Skywatch Friday)

Here is a photo I took this morning on our way out of the city. Here in central Canada we get 'Sun Dogs' whenever it gets really cold and today I believe it's around -30degrees celsius. It will definitely be a white Christmas in these parts.

Well its that time of the week again. Here are some skies that were enjoyed by Regina residents over the past few months. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo this week was taken a couple months ago during one of our walks around Wascana Lake. In my opinion, scenes like this never get old and I for one look forward to the different sunsets we get to witness every night over Wascana Lake.

The next photo was taken yesterday while driving on Lakeshore Drive in Wascana Park. The roadway is a great place to take a drive on especially when the weather isn't cooperating. Some of the views are spectacular and you have to continuously remind yourself that this massive park is right in the middle of a bustling urban city. Thankfully now that we are out of the deep freeze I can now get out of the car to take some more winter shots.

When its as cold as its been for the past 10 days, the best thing to do is reminise back to a few months ago when it was nice and warm here in Regina.

Its that time of the week again, here are some snapshots of skies that were enjoyed by Regina residents over the past week. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo is one of Regina's most recognizable landmarks, the McCallum Hill twin office towers in downtown Regina. This late evening photo was taken in minus 30C degree temperatures, but I think it was worth it.
The second photo is a sunset that I was able to catch while on my way to do some Christmas shopping. One thing about Regina's winters, our skies are just as stunning as they are during the warmer months.
The last photo was also taken in arctic like temperatures. This was taken from the north shore of the frozen Wascana Lake facing southward towards the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. Yes it's as cold as it looks..lol.

Well its that time of the week again. Here are a couple photos of some skies that we enjoyed here in Regina during the past week. (Skywatch Friday)

First of all a big thank you to everyone in helping make this blog a success. I just passed my 75,000th visitor to this site and we've only been online for a year and a half. Thanks so much.

That said, the first photo is a morning silhouette of one of Regina's most recognizable landmarks, the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. Built in the early 1900's, this building is home to the Government of the Province of Saskatchewan.

The second photo this week is of Mcdonald Avenue, which is one of the many roadways that lead into the city. This was taken at around 4:30 in the afternoon just before rush hour. It sure is getting dark early these days....
