Well its that time of the week again. Here are some sky shots that I took from in and around our great city of Regina. (Skywatch Friday)

The first photo is a twilight shot from earlier last year taken from a pedestrian bridge that connects Pine Island to the main land in Wascana Park. Definitely one of the most scenic areas in the entire city.
The second photo is of Pasqua Lake which is located about 60km northeast of the city limits. This is beautiful area is what we refer to as Cottage Country. Here is a shot from last week where people are cleaning snow off the frozen lake in order to make a skating rink. Lots of fun if your dressed for the cold weather. To see another pic of the skating rink on the lake, check my post below from January 3rd.

Terrific captures as always, Guy! Love those brooding skies if they don't hang around too long!

Have a great weekend!

That is so cool. The first photo is awesome but the second one is downright scary. That must be scary thinking you could fall through the ice. Great pic though.

Love the shot of the skating rink. After all the cold you've had there lately the ice must be quite thick!

Gorgeous! That is a whole lot of work clearing that snow for skating! But, worth it, I'm sure! (especially for those wanting to skate that aren't helping) HA! Beautiful scenes!

Here in Amsterdam we are enjoying the snow and skating on natural ice for the first time since a long, long time. We have similar views here. You may have more snow and blue'er skies (as you snow...er...show us in these beautiful captures, but we have better speedskaters...;-)

Have a good weekend!
