Winter can produce some very unusual skies. I took this shot earlier this morning while driving by St. Francis Park in the Rosemont area of the city.

They are interesting clouds. Low level, but with lots of blue coming through. That's a day that looks tough to dress for, rain or snow or sun, but probably guarranteed cold.
