An October evening photo of a duck on Wascana Lake, I can't think of anything more peaceful than a walk around the lake. (Skywatch Friday)

This is a photo I took last week along the north shore of Wascana Lake. Kinda gives one an idea of what the park is like this time of year, cold and lots of snow but still beautiful. As a matter of fact I think I'm going to go out for a walk right now......umm I just looked at the temperature to the right and I think I'll pass for today, lol. Have a great weekend everyone!

I think NOT taking a walk right now is probably a good idea, but the park is certainly beautiful. I especially like that first picture.

Oh my, I thought we had cold temps! We have a regular heat wave of 47 degrees at present. It has been bitter cold here this winter but slowly climbing! Very nice photos by the way. I like the lonely duck the best.

The duck doesn't seem to mind, but in that second one, even the sky is shivering!

Lovely calming picture of the solitary duck on the lake.

That first picture is amazing! Can't imagine the cold though... The fan is on over in these parts!

Wow! Your temp is currently -21! I really need to not feel sorry for myself that it's 25 and windy right now, here in SE Nebraska. It's a good thing you have some back up pics! They are lovely, and I enjoyed looking to see where I left off last time I was here.

Have a great weekend, and keep warm!

LOL! I can imagine turning back from that walk too. Both are great shots. What a difference, huh? I like walking around the lake near me too but I don't have to worry about the snow. The only snow that lake sees is in the distance mountains. :-D
