Here is a photo I took last evening near Wascana Hill located near the University of Regina Campus. Cross country skiing is a favourite activity for hundreds of park goers every winter.
Oh and be sure to check out other 'Skywatch Friday' photos from all over the world at: http://skyley.blogspot.com/
Beautiful photos, so different. It's wonderful that you share your city this way.
Very relaxing and scenic
I love thunderstorms, too, but after all this snow, the lake level will be up, so that will also mean a lot of squeegeeing muddy spray off the back windows!
That's a great lake for all different types of pictures. I really like your photo header. I could swear I can see ripples in the rowers' wake!
Beautiful photo's!! I love them!!Thanks for sharingHappy SWF
What a beautiful winter landscape and atmosphere! I enjoy leaving the city and coming to your blog :)))
Both of these pictures, from two different seasons, are beautiful, but I'm ready for the summer-like scenes (and weather).

Beautiful images, dreaming of summer storms in winter is not bad either! ;-)
You get such wonderful sky shots up there. Great clouds.
Having grown up in a tropical country, I am glad there arent any thunderstorms and lightning where I am; hardly any.It would make for a great photo subject, but I am terrified of thunder :)Enjoy the weekend.
I LOVE these ones! They're equally beautiful and so soothing. Your pictures always make me wish I could pop inside for a nice long walk! So a big thanks for sharing!
Looking forward to thunderstorms... that's not something you hear every day. But whatever turns your crank I guess, eh?Cross-country skiing always seemed way too much like work to me. I'll take mine Alpine style, thanks.
Gorgeous shots, as always, Guy! I do so enjoy visiting your blog and learning about and seeing your city! Happy SWF!
I was searching for something on the Internet the other day and a name including Wascana came up. I KNEW IMMEDIATELY that it was in Regina. ;-)
Beautiful shots as usual. Have a good weekend - we have an extra long one this weekend as we are having a public holiday for a horse race which hardly anyone goes to!
How peaceful, I want to sit at the chair with a warm blanket, cup of tea & look at that view
It must be so nice to just go outside and do cross country skiing right in your own country.
Both summer and winter in your neck of the woods are beautiful. Nice shots

You still have a lot of snow. Other than snowbanks, we have a lot of bare ground even though it has been very cold. I like the light in the last picture.
Hi Regina! I love the reflection of the clouds in the water!

The first one gets my vote. But the second is as amazing, actually. Well, love them both.
You've captured a lovely moment and a beautiful sky.
Very inspiring reflection. Thanks for sharing.I played too this week. :) Happy SW!
The water lead me to the most enjoyable sky. I didn´t ski this winter. Maybe next year as always.
Like the contrast of the summer and winter post. Thanks for sharing.
Guy,What a lovely summer photo. I am SOooo ready for a little sun and heat. We don't get many summer storms; our t-storms come in spring and fall. We got a little t-storm the other nite and my big, tough male dog Max started shaking until we took pity on him and let hide him under the covers. hehehehe.Caprice
